These terms govern your use of Routebook by Kington, a route discovery and sharing platform operated by Kington Adventures Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17275470) whose registered address is 29B Falcon Square, Eastleigh, SO50 9JF, United Kingdom. By using the platform you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Routebook by Kington is a community-led platform for discovering, saving and sharing road trips and travel routes. Core features — browsing routes, saving favourites, rating routes and submitting your own — are free to use. We do not sell bookings, tickets or package holidays. Content is provided for general inspiration and planning purposes only.
From time to time we may run competitions, promotions or creator programmes. These are governed by their own separate terms and conditions published alongside them (for example, the Launch Giveaway Terms), which take precedence over these terms to the extent of any conflict for that promotion.
The platform offers optional paid plans under the name Routebook Pro. Pro plans unlock advanced trip-planning features, including personalised itinerary building and trip-pack export. Plans are available as a one-time route credit or a recurring monthly or annual subscription.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe on behalf of Kington Adventures Limited. We do not store or handle full card details; these are managed exclusively by Stripe. By purchasing a Pro plan you agree to the pricing and terms displayed at the time of checkout. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. For refund requests or billing queries, please contact us at support@routebook.xyz.
Pro trip-planning features are subject to fair-use limits, which we may adjust to keep the service running reliably for everyone.
Routebook Pro uses artificial intelligence to generate draft route plans, itineraries and budget estimates from the planning brief you provide. To do this, the contents of your brief are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce a suggested itinerary. AI-generated output is a starting point only: it may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, does not represent live availability or confirmed prices, and is not professional travel advice. You are responsible for independently checking any plan before you rely on or travel it (see Sections 8 and 9). Do not enter sensitive personal information into planning fields. See our Privacy policy for how planning data is handled.
To submit routes, save favourites or leave ratings you will need to create an account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country of residence. You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Please notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
Routes, stops, highlights, comments, ratings and uploaded media (“community content”) are created and submitted by users. By posting community content you confirm that you own or have the right to share it, and you grant Kington Adventures Limited a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce and distribute that content on the platform and in related promotional materials. This licence ends when the content is removed, except where it has been incorporated into other users' routes (see Section 10).
Community routes are reviewed by our moderation team before appearing in the public catalogue. We may approve, edit, reject or remove any submission at our discretion.
We reserve the right to remove or edit any content, and to suspend or permanently close accounts that breach these terms, that are used for spam or abuse, or where we are required to do so by law. We are not obliged to give prior notice before taking such action.
If you believe content on the platform is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful or otherwise inappropriate, please report it using the in-platform report function or by emailing support@routebook.xyz. We will review reports and respond as soon as reasonably practicable.
Route information is provided by community members and is not independently verified. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency or suitability of any content on the platform, including but not limited to:
The platform is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not accept liability for loss or damage arising from reliance on content found here.
Before you travel, you are responsible for independently checking and satisfying yourself about all relevant matters, including:
Travel is undertaken entirely at your own risk.
You may request deletion of your account by emailing support@routebook.xyz. We will remove your personal account data. However, community content you have contributed (such as routes, stops or highlights) may remain on the platform in anonymised form where it has been incorporated into the routes of other users or forms part of the published catalogue, unless removal is specifically requested and practicable.
The Routebook by Kington name, logo and platform design are the property of Kington Adventures Limited. You may not use them without our prior written consent.
We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material we will take reasonable steps to notify users. The date of the latest revision is shown at the top of this page. Your continued use of the platform after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
